A Legacy of Disruption: From Zoetrope to Web3
To understand DCP, you have to understand its roots. The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit co-founded by Roman Coppola, Leo Matchett, and Michael Musante.
The foundation is built on the DNA of American Zoetrope, the legendary independent film studio founded by Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas in 1969. For over five decades, the Coppola family has been at the forefront of championing independent voices and disrupting the traditional Hollywood gatekeeper system.
DCP is the modern, blockchain-powered evolution of that mission, moving the power of the “Greenlight” to fund and launch new projects from a few executives in a boardroom to a global community of creators and fans. How BIZARRE is that?!
Expanding the Mission: Supporting All Onchain Creators
While DCP’s heritage is rooted in cinema, the foundation is rapidly expanding its mission by creating more funding opportunities for onchain creators. They are no longer just looking for the next great film; they are working to increase awareness and award opportunities for all kinds of onchain creators.

BizarreBeasts: A BIZARRE Award Winner
In December 2025, BizarreBeasts won the $100,000 A3 Startup Award from DCP.
Crucially, BizarreBeasts was recognized as a Creative Onchain Project, not a film project. Our win is part of a major expansion of the DCP ecosystem: DCP is seeking innovative projects and creators building onchain, both inside and outside the film industry, as DCP continues to pioneer what is possible in Web3 entertainment.
The BizarreBeasts project will be a cornerstone of the DCP+ streaming and content platform when it launches in 2026, proving that onchain creative work is part of the next frontier of professional media.
How DCP Works: Curation by the People
DCP flips the traditional “Studio” model on its head:
Traditional Model: A few executives decide what gets funded based on “marketability.” Creators often lose their IP.
DCP Model: The community reviews, rates, and votes on projects. Anyone can submit. Blockchain ensures transparency. Creators keep their IP.
The Process:
Creators Submit: Pitch decks, videos, or project roadmaps are uploaded to the platform.
Community Reviews: You provide feedback and rate the viability and creativity of the submission.
TALNT Rewards: You earn tokens for providing high-quality, honest reviews.
Funding: Top-voted projects receive grants, industry mentorship, and production support.
What is TALNT?
TALNT is the utility token that powers the DCP ecosystem’s meritocratic curation. It runs on the Base, ensuring transactions are fast and low-cost.
